AI in separate class or embedded?

I have my own opinions but I shall leave the decision up to the team. Should the AI/AI interactions of both the player and enemies be integrated in a separate overall generic AI class or added to the player/enemy class in the form of a few additional methods/members?
 
Personally I think considering the entities have two small jobs (shoot/die), having an overall AI class to deal with this is purely overkill.
